Mike Likes LOST - and he has a theory |
|
I don't care if you think it should be called "LOST the Plot", LOST is a brilliant show. I know that it is frustrating, never actually learning a single thing and many people have switched off because they haven't been handed and answer. If that is you, you have missed a rare opportunity to actually be challenged by television. Treat LOST as if you were one of the survivors on the island. They don't know what is going on either. There have been lots of shows that I have talked to my friends about because I really enjoy them, but those conversations are usually fairly predictible... "Did you watch it last night? Yeah? It was good wasn't it?". LOST is the only show I know of that makes me think, theorise and debate with my friends each week. Anyway, do you want to hear my theory?...
I don't believe that the survivors of the Oceanic Airlines disaster are actually in the same bodies that they once were! I think their minds have been swapped with other survivors, and here are my reasons: - John Lock no longer needs a wheelchair
- Jack is a world-leading spinal surgeon - with tattoos all over his arms?
- Sawyer knows all about anti-biotics
- Sun was infertile, but has fallen pregnant since landing on the island
- I am pretty sure that people on the island always die in pairs
- Even though Jack is a doctor, every emergency that Jack deals with ends in death despite his best efforts - except for Ben, the leader of "The Others". I notice that Ben tried to keep Sawyer trapped in a cage during the operation.
- Jack beat Sawyer at poker! Come on, as if!
Every mystery on the island is compatible with my theory. I came up with it about 18 months ago, and by publishing it now when we all find out the truth I can prove how smart I am. |
